Savezni\u010dke bombarderske kampanje uni\u0161tavale su njema\u010dku industriju, a nadmo\u0107 savezni\u010dkih aviona nad europskim nebom bila je neupitna. Ideja je bila da se avion gradi od lako dostupnih materijala, poput drva, \u0161to je trebala biti privremena mjera uslijed nesta\u0161ice metala. Cilj je bio i da ovim avionom mogu upravljati manje iskusni piloti, \u0161to je uklju\u010divalo i mlade regrute iz Hitlerove mlade\u017ei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Avion je imao kompaktan, aerodinami\u010dan dizajn s mlaznim motorom <strong>BMW 003<\/strong> postavljenim na vrh trupa. Ova neuobi\u010dajena konstrukcija izazvala je mnoge tehni\u010dke probleme, uklju\u010duju\u0107i slabu stabilnost i probleme s hla\u0111enjem motora. Naoru\u017ean s dva topa kalibra 20 mm ili 30 mm bio je ispodprosje\u010dno naoru\u017ean za avione tog vremena. He 162 je bio izrazito brz za svoje vrijeme, postizao je maksimalnu brzinu od 840 km\/h, ali mu je dolet bio ograni\u010den na svega 20 minuta leta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Proizvodnja i eksploatacija radne snage<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Kako bi ubrzali proizvodnju, nacisti su koristili prisilni rad, uklju\u010duju\u0107i logora\u0161e i prisilne radnike iz okupiranih zemalja. Ovi radnici radili su u nemogu\u0107im uvjetima, bez osnovnih sigurnosnih mjera, a mnogi su izgubili \u017eivot zbog iscrpljenosti i brutalnih uvjeta rada. Ukupno je proizvedeno (vjerojatno) oko 320 primjeraka, ali zbog tehni\u010dkih problema i savezni\u010dkog bombardiranja njema\u010dkih tvornica, samo mali broj aviona uspio je u\u0107i u borbenu uporabu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Operativna povijest<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Prvi let He 162 odr\u017ean je u prosincu 1944., a avion je postrojbama predan u travnju 1945. Operativno su ga koristili piloti <strong>Jagdgeschwader 1 (JG 1)<\/strong>, no njihovo iskustvo bilo je obilje\u017eeno katastrofalnim gubicima. Mladi i neiskusni piloti nisu se mogli nositi s izazovnim karakteristikama aviona, dok su tehni\u010dki problemi uzrokovali brojne nesre\u0107e. Malo je pilota imalo priliku suo\u010diti se s neprijateljem, a jo\u0161 manje ih je ostvarilo uspje\u0161ne obaraju\u0107e misije. Iako tehni\u010dki inovativan, bio je previ\u0161e slo\u017een za serijsku proizvodnju u uvjetima iscrpljenosti njema\u010dke industrije. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Naslije\u0111e<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Nakon rata, saveznici su zarobili nekoliko primjeraka He 162 i prou\u010davali njegov dizajn. Ovi su eksperimenti doprinijeli razvoju mlazne avijacije u poslijeratnim godinama.
