Call for papers: Education theory and practice in challenging times: cultivating an ethos of social justice, respect and diversity

Abstract submission will open on November 15, 2016. The focus is the dynamic interplay between societal actors at a time when social and political global developments challenge the very fabric of today’s multicultural societies. The conference aims to create an active and open forum for all who are connected to intercultural education and related fields, including theorists, practitioners, and students.

Strands:

1. Diversity in education
2. Diversity in the workplace
3. Migration and mobility: policies and practice
4. Diversity in the media and arts
5. Social justice in education, health, workplace
6. Religious diversity and extremisms

We are accepting proposals for these categories:

1. Papers/posters on research in intercultural education and related fields
2. Papers/posters on intercultural educational experiences and/or pilot-projects
3. Book and audio/video presentations, particularly on didactical material
4. Art, theater, films or other circus performances
5. Adaptive e-learning and WEB 2.0-based learning and teaching tools

Important deadlines:

November 15, 2016: Conference website and abstract submission open
March 15, 2017: Deadline for submitting abstracts
March 20, 2017: Deadline for reduced-fee, early bird registration
